Lady Moon & The Eclipse is a multicultural six-piece band based in Brooklyn, NY. Through soaring vocal textures and R&B/afrobeat-influenced rhythms, their music sheds light on social issues. With a marked emphasis on inclusivity and spiritual unity, Lady Moon & The Eclipse explores relevant topics through a unique tapestry of cultural perspectives borne out of its African, Asian and European band members.
After a series of both chance encounters and mindful collaborations across San Francisco and New York City, Lady Moon & The Eclipse came together in October 2014. “Lady Moon” is vocalist Ngonda Badila, whose name means “moon” in Congolese. The rest of the band serves as the “sun” that bestows light upon her; during each stage performance the audience experiences a metaphorical “eclipse.” Hence the name — Lady Moon & The Eclipse. The band is a true conglomeration of artists; when off stage, band members pursue diverse mediums ranging from dance to visual arts to environmental science.
Lady Moon & The Eclipse released their debut EP, "Believe" available on CD and online.

"Lady Moon herself is a veritable Nefertiti: gorgeous, as supremely lithe as Diana Ross, and apparently inexhaustible in performance. Her voice is simply terrific, with great inflexion and range [...] it’s an undeniably potent and crowd-pleasing body of work. Last night’s sell-out show had them dancing in the aisles." - IMBY
"...an enriching musical experience" - Quiet Lunch Magazine
"...dazzled us with thoughtful lyrics, sophisticated harmonies, and African dance grounded, 60’s inspired choreography" - 1N Curation
"Lady Moon and the Eclipse rolls out in gold and black with red ruffles hanging from tail bones and hips - flair spouting off shoulders. Colonels or Goddesses?" - Gambazine
